ABOUT GOD
There is one true and living God; the Creator, Ruler, and Sustainer of all things. He has eternally existed in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He has eternally existed, with The Father and The Holy Spirit, as The Word. Jesus was born of a virgin; he lived a sinless life, and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice on the cross of Calvary for the sin of the world. He arose from the dead three days later to demonstrate his power and victory over sin and death; he commissioned his church to evangelize, baptize, and disciple the world; he ascended to the Father where he now makes continual intercession for his people as our Great High Priest.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with The Father and The Son of God. He lives inside every believer, giving eternal life and enabling every believer to live a life of victory in this world. He works through the Church to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and of their need for Jesus Christ. To the Church, He provides comfort, guidance, the understanding of spiritual truth, and stands as a guarantee of our security in salvation. He gifts believers for ministry in the Church, and makes intercession for us to God.

ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s complete revelation to man. It is divinely inspired, devoid of any error whatsoever, and is the very Word of God given to man. It is the supreme source of truth, and provides guidance, teaching, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness, and is our all sufficient rule of faith and practice. At South Bay House Of God, we encourage the use of the Authorized Version of the English Bible, while relying on the original Greek texts of Scripture.

ABOUT MANKIND
Adam, the first man, was originally created sinless, in the image of God. However, by a voluntary act of his own will, he sinned against God and fell from that perfect state, being separated from a relationship and fellowship with God. As a result, the entire human race (which descended from Adam) is born into an imperfect state, possessed of a sinful nature, and separated from a relationship and fellowship with God. Consequently, every human being has stood in need of the Savior to remove their sin, and bring them into union with God.

ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is God’s free gift of eternal life, by His grace, to man. It is received by repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. It can never be gained by good works, observing religious rituals such as circumcision, baptism, or communion, nor by becoming a member of any religious institution. This salvation is granted by God the very moment a person turns from his or her sin and puts faith and trust in Jesus Christ as personal Savior.

ABOUT SECURITY
Salvation is freely given by God, and is also sustained by God. The life God gives is Everlasting and Eternal by nature. Salvation cannot be lost nor stolen for any reason whatsoever. Once a person is saved, he is saved for eternity. Since man can do nothing to merit salvation, likewise he can do nothing to secure salvation. Salvation is complete and everlasting as a result of the sinless life and perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ for every believer.

ABOUT THE CHURCH
The scriptural New Testament Church is defined as a local body of born again, baptized believers, who assemble in one place, and have committed themselves to carry out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of Jesus Christ here on Earth.

ABOUT SATAN
Satan is Lucifer the fallen angel. Originally created perfect, Lucifer rebelled against God and was cast out of Heaven. He is a real being, the archenemy of God, and works against all that God is and all that God does. His design is to destroy God, steal His glory, and murder His people, as well as mankind as a whole. His destiny is the judgment of God in the Lake of Fire for all eternity.

ABOUT THE RETURN OF CHRIST
Jesus Christ will one day return to resurrect, rapture, and reign with His people. This will be a physical, audible, and visible return. He will not come invisibly or in some secret way to some secret place. He will not be born as a baby and grow to manhood, but will come as an eternal conquering King in great power and glory.

ABOUT ETERNITY
People were created by God to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or we will exist eternally united with God through salvation. To be eternally separated from God is to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, following the Last Judgment. To be eternally united with God is to spend eternity in His very presence in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
